G Protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are receptors that incorporate a G protein signalling system (more info on GPCRs)
GPCRs occur in all parts of the body and are the targets for many marketed drugs such as beta blockers, antihistamines and GABA blockers.

This page is a useful page if you want to quickly look up the causative agent of a disease
The OMIM database

Probably a fairly well known reference to many of you - the OMIM database is a database of diseases with a genetic component. It is maintained by Johns Hopkins University. Its a good place to look up information on diseases and to also find synonyms of disease names.
