Well buried at the FDA website is CDER Drug and Biologics Approval Reports. It’s a pretty useful page analyzing drug approvals by year and type. Sometimes it can take a while for it to be updated – but its pretty useful nonetheless.
It’s worth being aware that biologics were covered under CBER until 2004 so numbers can be a bit skewed from 2004 onwards depending on where your interests lie.
